7/20/25 Through 7/26/25

 7/20/25 Through 7/26/25

Sunday
Awareness in our every day
Is what we need, and how to pray.
To recognize the better part
We must employ a humble heart.

His voice is there throughout the day
But often still we rush away
To trifles, urgent and absurd
And leave His voice to go unheard.

But those attentive stop to hear
When e'er the voice of God is near
They let Him guard and guide their way
Whene'er He speaks throughout the day.

This practice leads to joy each day
A calm and peace that holds its sway
For in His word, the path is clear
But first, we must be sure we hear.

Monday
The people were panicky, anxious, and scared
Betwixt of the desert and sea, they were snared.
But waters were parted, and then would return
With nowhere for Pharaoh and army to turn.

What sign could be greater, convincing all men,
Than bread from above or seas parted again?
No sign will be given for none can convince
For none was like Moses, before then or since.

Far greater is Christ who has come here to save
The greatest of signs was the sign that He gave.
To die on the Cross for the sins of all men
And when dead for three days, to rise up again.

But even as such, some deny in our days
For believing demands a change of our ways
No sign will convince when the spirit is dead
With His own flesh and blood, the faithful are fed.

Tuesday
I've found the One for whom I long
Whose love has loved me in my wrong.
Whose love has rescued me from sin
And sent His Spirit dwelling in.

Such love as His before unknown
For on the Cross, such love was shown
Extending mercy even there
To thieves and sinners everywhere.

His love, the grave, could not contain
Though brutally our Lord was slain
The stone was sealed, a guard was set
But evil plans were all upset.

For on day three, our King arose
And Mary was the one He chose
To be the first to spread the news
It's life we gain when life we lose.

Wednesday
Why grumble, for manna is heavenly food
A food with delight for the senses imbued
A feast for the table each morn on the ground
Just gather a day's worth and feast on what's found.

Such bread is still here, but in far better form
The Bread come from Heaven, a man to reform.
Daily He comes, but disguised as the Bread
That's common at table where daily we're fed

The Bread come from Heaven I eat every day
True Body and Blood we were meant to obey
It helps me to hear and then act on His word
To clear out the fog and focus what's blurred.

You, too, can partake of the Heavenly Bread
Receive and then listen and act on what's said
It's there for the hungry who wait on His word
And act to obey whatever they've heard.

Thursday
The all I have will soon be gone,
What, then, for me is counted on?
It's none of these that one can see
But faith that lives inside of me.

There's naught we have and take along
For there such things do not belong
Our nakedness is all we own
Our every deed will then be known.

It's then we'll see the way so clear
And sense be made of what we hear.
His parables will come to light
And then the soul be filled with fright.

For all He gave was meant for good
But did we use it as we should?
To build His Kingdom here below
Or build a store of empty show?

Friday
His only purpose was to die
And man should know the reason why.
In reparation for our sin
So death and evil cannot win.

We often seek for selfish gain
But this He shows cannot remain.
For love is but to give away
To save and sanctify the day.

So much we learn from how He died
One beaten, crowned, and crucified
The King of love my Shepherd is
He gives us all, for all is His.

Our challenge is to give Him all
In answer to His loving call
To be like him in every way
And freely give our all away.

Saturday
The weeds among the wheat are sown
By every wind, the seeds are blown.
And grow they will till harvest comes
When wheat or weed, each plant becomes.

For all are mix of wheat and weed
Including those from best of seed.
Repent and change your weed to wheat
And so, the evil one defeat.

The grace to change the Farmer gives
So, weed among the wheat still lives.
At harvest time, unchanged will see
There's fire that awaits for thee.
