First, let me learn then let me teach
Grant wisdom to my humble speech
My ears I open Lord to hear
I come within your presence near.
In Adoration speak to me
And help me then respond to thee
Obedient to every word
That in your presence I have heard

Holy Spirit, what I know
Ask, listen, and obey.
Three simple words quite far will go
And all I have to say.
These
things you do when e'er you pray
Then simply wait and see
He'll speak to you then every day
And answer every plea.
Not
just the way we want each time
But answered nonetheless.
Perhaps a call to higher climb
Or sinfulness confess.
