7/13/25 Through 7/19/25

 7/13/25 Through 7/19/25

Sunday
If only we would heed the Lord
If only keep His law of love
His voice would lead the way aboard
The train to life with Him above.

It's not too high or far away
It's not too hard for you to do
It's simply there along the way
An act of kindness meant for you.

Don't turn your head or glance aside
See well beyond the outward signs
For this one, too, the Savior died
With such as these in His designs.

Monday
The lines of division now clearly drawn
A clarity comes with the breaking of dawn
For all that is evil has taken its side
Be not swept away in the ravenous tide.

Unworthy are those refusing the cross
For those seeking life, must suffer some loss.
All evil destroys, but our Savior renews
If it's life that we want, then life we must choose.

Tuesday
How many signs needed for change?
What does it take to lives rearrange?
We've seen many works and wonders of grace
Yet still we remain in our obstinate place.

Drawn from water, raised as a king
Babe in a basket, freedom would bring.
Witness to wonders all worked through his hands
Yet the people still failed to heed his commands.

Woe to those who see yet remain
Planted and still awash in the stain
Sodom fares better than those who are found
Impenitent, still in their sinfulness, found.

Wednesday
Hidden from learned and hidden from wise
But plain in the view of the childlike eyes.
None knows the Father but only the Son
In simple humility, vict'ry is won.

Come to the mountaintop, come and draw near
No need to falter or tremble with fear.
Listen for all He will ask you to do
And then be obedient, faithful, and true.

Thursday
We're called to love beyond our strength
To follow Him to any length
To boldly sail uncharted seas
And so, the yoke of Jesus seize.

The Cross to share as Simon did
Though many from the burden hid
They couldn't see how light the load
Where purest love and mercy flowed.

The heavy Cross he shouldered well
And even so, the Savior fell,
But rose each time to travel on
Through darkness to the Easter dawn.

Each burden joined to Him this way
By those who listen and obey
Remains a burden we must bear,
But Christ assumes the lion's share.

Friday
Lord, let me see with clarity
The work You have laid out for me.
Make me repentant, humble, true,
And totally a one for You.

The lamb was sacrificed of old
To warm the many hearts so cold
Who failed to see that in their day
The Lord was lighting up the way.

Grant me the vision that I need
Allowing me on flesh to feed.
The Living Bread from up above
That teaches sinners how to love.

I need that food in every day
To keep me on the narrow way
Astray, I wish to never be
But one of ninety-nine with Thee.

Your love's so great You search for all
I pray they too, might hear Your call
And find the pasture green and sweet
With Godly rest and lots to eat.

Saturday
Death to life the evil planning
O'er the fields of time it spanning
See His acts of love forever
Still confound the wicked clever

Make of us a stark division
From the evil in the vision
Help us turn from sinful pleasure
To the love without a measure

Egypt, far behind and fading
Demons stuck in mire wading
Waters flowing back and drowning
God alone as King now crowning

Still today, is evil trying
But the faithful not are buying
Steady hearts of good prevailing
With the grace of God unfailing.

7/6/25 Through 7/12/25

 7/6/25 Through 7/12/25

Sunday
Put trust in God and God alone
Let Him for all your sins atone.
He feeds the flock and tends the sheep
To promise of the Father keep.

As baby at the mother's breast
He offers man such peace and rest
But we must trust His loving arm
To keep us from all evil harm.

He sends us out in pairs of two
To do what His disciples do.
To spread the word, "The Kingdom's here"
And draw the wayward sinner near.

For all have sinned and turned away
And all He seeks until such day
Their life on Earth shall come to close
With final destination chose.

Be not refusing until then
Be not like prideful, wicked men.
Who boast of all that they have done
And lose the Mighty, Holy One.

He longs to comfort, heal, and cure
And longs to make you clean and pure
His mercy does the mighty deed
But first, we must His mercy plead.

Monday
Each holy place is sanctified
By One of whom they crucified
When e'er we bring His presence near
And make the love of Jesus clear.

My home a Bethel for the Lord
A place on which His grace is poured
A place where praise is on our lips
And God, with every gift, equips.

So too, our place of work should be
A place of love and sanctity
A place where all can meet the King
A place where harmony we bring.

A Bethel on the sporting field
Where always to the Lord we yield
We build a Bethel where we go
So all on Earth, the Lord should know.

Tuesday
So often we wrestle as Jacob once did
For many a year, the truth we have hid
We want to be lord of the life that we live
But truth is what only the Master can give.

We have no control of the wind and the wave
But we have all the signs and the wonders He gave.
If these we believe, we should join with His crew
For the harvest is ripe, but the laborers few.

Wednesday
Chosen by God to distribute His food
To all of His children, and none to exclude.
The world must be fed by the Church of today
For many are lost, and many astray.

Through Joseph and brothers, the food was disbursed
By drought, all the world back then had been cursed.
So too, the Apostles in Jesus' day
Would feed with Good News in a spiritual way.

So many are hungry now, even today,
We must not be lazy or just turn away.
For those with the grain must attend to the need
And graciously, all of the hungry now feed.

Oh, help me to answer the clarion call
By doing my part, be it big, or it small.
The food is sufficient that all can be fed
With the finest of Wheat and the Life-giving Bread.

Thursday
No sack for the journey and no extra clothes
Good food and safe lodging the penitent owes
Freely you're given, so freely you give
You're sent to the hungry, so hungry may live.

Advance of his brothers as Joseph was sent
Though evil intended, for good it was meant.
The family is saved by the one they had sold,
His sacrifice turned to the purest of gold.

Your journey directed by hands of the Lord
Through trial and triumph, His blessing out-poured.
We see when reviewing the trials we face
We only survive by His mercy and grace.

Come closer, He beckons when fear fills the air,
He wants but our good and His goodness to share.
Don't worry, for what you are lacking, He gives.
In simple repentance, our worst He forgives.

Friday
Like lambs among the wolves, they went
To Egypt, by the Father sent
Yet prospered in the land of slaves
By trusting in the God that saves.

By acting as the Father willed
Though some are beaten, some are killed
They prosper as a nation strong
Who to the Lord alone belong.

For once encountered, lives are changed
No longer from the truth estranged
All trial seems as nothing now
If we just stay with Him somehow.

Saturday
Fear not, for one day all is shown
But not by sin shall we be known
Repentance is the only key
To set the captive sinner free.

His love so far exceeds our sins
And love is where new life begins
Where love is present, fear will flee
And clear the path for life we see.

Adoration...What a Blessing!

 Adoration...What a Blessing!

What a blessing it is to be with my Lord
His Body and Blood in the monstrance adored.
It's quiet and peaceful and good for my soul
A way to be cared for, healed, and made whole.

So few who receive of His generous store,
So many out working and striving for more.
They can't see the treasure disguised in the Bread;
But long to be comforted, sated, and fed.

No time is the cry of the busy and stressed
No time to be comforted, cared for, and blessed.
No time to commune with the Maker of all,
No time to be quiet and answer His call.

How foolish the mind that is cluttered and filled,
No time with its Maker, for friendship to build.
Some day, they will see just how foolish they've been;
To choose over Jesus, the pleasures of sin.

For even if good, all their busyness seems;
The busy distracts from the plan of their dreams.
Our life with the Lord must begin here below
If ever we wish to, in Heaven, Him know.

6/29/25 Through 7/5/25

 6/29/25 Through 7/5/25

Sunday
Who is He? The people will say,
A prophet, like back in the day?
A One from above with a passion for love
And showing a drastic new way.

But who do you say that I am?
True God in the form of a man
This word given you by My Father is true
And here, for the Church, is My plan.

The Rock is the chief among men
The others will go to him when
Dispute shall arise, or need compromise
His word is the final Amen.

The devil will try to deceive
The weakest of those who believe
But never shall he pull the wool over thee
If close to the Cross, you will cleave.

Monday
I need Your help to see the sky
I need Your help to know just why
These words are here forever framed
As Scripture and as such acclaimed.

In Sodom, here I think we see
How patient that our Lord can be
Forebearing such calamity
If worthy, just a few would be.

Your mercy is what all men need
And mercy's comfort what we plead,
But mercy needs repentance so
You know the proper way to go.

All mercy fails if wrong we go
When still the righteous way we know
For holiness, each man must choose
Or in the end, he all will lose.

Tuesday
Once rescued from the midst of woe
Again to sin, we must not go
Not even look with longing eye
Or lest you turn to stone and die.

We cannot let the chains of sin
Gain purchase on the heart within
We flee from sin to save the soul
And strain ahead to reach the goal.

Through mighty wind and stormy sea
The faithful, to the promise, flee
But only One can calm the wave
And still the wind to sinner save.

In fear, we see His mighty hand
But love is in His each command
He cured the sick, the lame, the blind
And all, through Him, the Truth will find.

Wednesday
Do we also ask the Lord to leave,
Or to His words of wisdom cleave?
Are words of wisdom gladly heard,
Or selfish demons more preferred?

We make a home within each heart
Where love can grow, or evil start.
Where love is welcomed, fruit will grow
But selfish, much division know.

The chains of sin preferred by some
For they refuse to know the Son.
They hear His voice and see His deeds
But only more contempt it breeds.

When He reveals what's deep within
We must reject the sordid sin.
If we refuse to bend our will
We simply wallow in the swill.

True freedom's offered every man
But only humble, docile, can
Receive with open, loving hands
Unhindered by the evil bands.

Don't shoo the Blessed One away,
But offer rest and ask to stay.
Such love as His before unknown
Is now unto the humble shown.

Thursday
Be no longer unbelieving
But proclaim Him as your God
Although trying, not deceiving
That disgraceful, worthless fraud.

The devil tries denying still
The risen Christ as Lord
Believers see his filthy swill
In light of love restored.

No need to probe His hands and side
But simply look around
Believers on the roughest ride
Somehow, true joy have found.

Friday
Why should a woman be drawn to a man?
Somehow, it is part of the Father's great plan.
The rough and the smooth, the strong and the weak,
Are drawn to be one as each other they seek.

The beauty, the beast, the man and his bride
The odds of their coming together defied.
But plans have been made by the Father above
To bring them together in self-giving love.

For simply, a call has been placed on each life
Most commonly called to be man and wife
If called to be married or single it's true
The Lord has a call He made special for you.

So, look in the mirror and search in your soul
What else do you need to make your life whole?
If something is lacking, then answer God's call
He made you for gift, and for giving your all.

Saturday
Don't try to save what's old and worn
A patch that's new will soon be torn
Then wine and skin will both be lost
And both amid the rubbish tossed.

In ways anew prepare to fast
That wine and skins are made to last
With power of unselfish gift
To God the offering we lift.

6/22/25 Through 6/28/25

 6/22/25 Through 6/28/25

Sunday
Oh, the Holy Blood and Body,
Oh, the Sacrament Divine.
Come to me and there embody
Every humble gift of Thine.

Make my eyes to see the myst'ry
Make my ears to hear Your word.
Once again, as throughout hist'ry
Let the hearts of men be stirred.

Here, the source of life within me
Here, my food and daily bread
Christ Himself to come within me
Making sure I have been fed.

Monday
Judgment is for One alone
For many sins we must atone
Each eye by selfishness constrained
In Christ alone, pure truth contained.

The beam that clouds the vision now
We must remove by love somehow,
To clearly see the Master's plan
From whence, at first, the time began.

The Garden lost by sinful man
Disrupted then the perfect plan,
But in great love and mercy shown
The Son was sent to sin atone.

Tuesday
Oh, the work when water flows
When seed is planted, and it grows.
All sin rejected, man set free
With waters flowing over thee.

This act by God will free the man
Alike no other action can.
All stain of sin is washed away
And purity regained that day.

Indelible, the mark it gives
As long upon the Earth he lives,
And well into eternity
The light of grace is shone for thee.

Wednesday
A promise made, a promise kept
It came to me just while I slept
I saw a fire brightly burning
From the darkness ever turning.

He speaks to all in diff'rent ways
Some in the dark, some in a daze.
Listen we must, trust in His word
Even though sight, is somewhat blurred.

Trust in His way, clear you will see
Where to go, and how to be free.
Shepherd will call and sheep will come
Into the light, and darkness from.

Thursday
Lord, help me act on all You say
Give me strength throughout the day
Let Your word resound within
And keep me far away from sin.

A doer, always make of me
And in the mirror, let me see
All that needs to change like Thee
And all I need to cleanse from me.

I want my house to firmly stand
Against the flood on solid land.
Make my ears attune to You,
My answer, "Yes", in all I do.

Clear away self-righteousness
And make me every sin, confess.
Heal me with a word from You
And on my dryness, pour Your dew.

Let Your Spirit so descend
And to my heart, repentence send.
Change my every way to Thine
Within me let Your glory shine.

Friday
So many times, I turn away
Throughout the passing of each day.
My selfishness and greedy eye
Forget the glory from on high.

In sinfulness, I turn away
But yet again I hear You say,
Come follow Me, repent and see
The all I have in store for thee.

Within the mind of Love I see
Great mercy there again for me.
Such love before no man has known
But such a love for each is shown.

Receive my heart and all I own
Then water well the seed that's sown
Let every act of mine be true
Declaring so, my love for You.

Saturday
With just Your word, the servant healed
Such power none but God can wield.
I see and know You're far beyond
And to Your word, I must respond.

I come and beg Your mercy, Lord
I see Your works to all outpoured
And ask that so You favor me
By answering my humble plea.

The soldier so implored You then
And so do I, today, again.
For one who serves has fallen ill
Let restoration be Your will.

I trust in faith You'll hear and heed
So bringing healing that we need
And once restored, Your servant see
The glory that is due to Thee.
