5/31/26 Through 6/6/26

 5/31/26 Through 6/6/26

Sunday
The Three in One, and One in Three
The mystery of the Trinity
Beyond the heart, beyond the mind
A truth, to man, left undefined

We know that what He says is true
But yet we cannot grasp the view
This union so complete, it's One
Yet quite distinct is every One

Now pondering Divinity
Is quite a task for folks like me
But love has many facets, too
Perhaps it's all but point of view.

Monday
Bestowed on us for life and light
Is every gift to climb the height
To share in His Divinity
And grow in love infinitely

A vineyard planted carefully
For man to tend it prayerfully
And raise abundant fruit for wine
To follow in our God's design

But selfish ones refuse to share
Or treat the messengers with care
Instead they beat or killed them all
So, Master will repay their gall

Our job is to produce the fruit
And share in this Divine pursuit,
To grow alike to God above
And share in His abundant love

Tuesday
A test is placed before the Lord,
The wicked thinking they had scored
But as He answers, He reveals
Deceit within their veiled appeals.

No match for Truth and Wisdom here
Their wicked ways become quite clear
When Jesus springs their trap to show
Their questioning as foul and faux

Coming back, shall be in glory
Now is when we write our story
How we trust, and so, believing
Weight of glory, then achieving

Question not, the World's Maker
Be a giver, not a taker
Learn the way of love He's showing
Change your course to where He's going

Wednesday
Greatly misled by the talk of the day
Failing to listen to God when you pray
Caught by the spirit of pride as before
Grasping at less and not waiting for more

Easily swayed by the glitter and shine
Caught in the mesh, the deceitful entwine
Attempting to snare the Truth in a lie
Teaching that men will just die when they die

Not so, says the One who has risen again
For death is the start of a new life for men
Eternally present to God in the light
A victor who conquered the darkness of night.

The Light or the darkness, on Earth here we choose
The pride of the self, or the self here to lose
The gain is delayed, but far greater than pride
We bask in the glow of the Light at our side

Thursday
Love our God, and love your neighbor
Make of this your daily labor
See a need and fill it well
Of our Savior's glory tell

Make His will your search for glory
Give Him praise in every story
Praise His many gifts to man
See what few, on Earth, here can

Sacrifices may be pricey
Looked upon as lavish, nicely
Love eclipses sacrifice
Giving life the needed spice

Friday

If one expects to serve the Lord
He should expect to be ignored
To be one thought as but a fool
To follow such a stupid rule

To love the enemy as friend
To poor and sick, as blest, defend
To look beyond the here and now
To focus after death somehow

But that is what will bring true joy
If selfless love we would employ
For in our suffering we grow
To more and more, our Savior know

For death is not the end, but how
We grow beyond the here and now
To glory, honor, wealth, and fame
Or everlasting fear and shame

It's love alone we take beyond
And only that, relied upon
So, fear not suffering and pain,
But see them as eternal gain.

Saturday
Finish the race with a kick at the end
Give all that you have, so on God, you depend
Seek for His calling, and do as He wills
Amid the confusion, the restless He stills.

Be steady regardless of what you may face
The hurdles are many throughout all the race.
Be patient in teaching the truth as you go
For all have been called and are chosen to know.

But many won't listen, enamored of wealth
They're seeking just pleasure, not eternal health.
Pour out what you have as an offering now
With all that you are, to the Master then bow.

The generous widow was praised by the Lord
For she trusted to God, all she could afford.
Our God is one worthy of all that we own
Do all that you can to make His name known.
